The Rangers are hopefully well rested both physically and mentally (and spiritually and metaphysically) as they welcome the very good but injured Colorado Avalanche to MSG for their first game following the bye week. The Rangers will be without Jacob Trouba for one more game due to his suspension, so the lineup will be the same that put up 7 on Ottawa before the break.

Colorado is hurting, with Gabriel Landeskog and Valeri Nichushkin both out. This necessitated them signing the 900 year old Zach Parise midseason and resurrecting the ghost of Andrew Cogliano, who is amazingly still playing NHL hockey at a decent clip. Good for him.

This is a battle of two teams. Colorado is rolling despite the injuries. The Rangers are waiting on their goaltending to remember how to goalie. We may be in for a track meet tonight.
