In the dynamic realm of hockey, the sport offers a plethora of highlights that linger in our memories. The New York Rangers, a team with a rich history, have contributed numerous moments that resonate with many fans. In this feature titled “Remember When,” we delve into some of these moments—some noteworthy, others less so.
In this particular installment of “Remember When,” we revisit March 18th, 2023, when the New York Rangers would hand the Pittsburgh Penguins a beating to remember at The World’s Most Famous Arena.
The Rangers jumped on Pittsburgh early and did not stop as they notched 6 goals in the first two periods, dominating the Pittsburgh Penguins at MSG. Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry would be pulled after the fourth goal scored in favor of back up Casey DeSmith. This blowout would be their second win against Pittsburgh in four days and gives the Rangers five points against them in their last three matchups at the time.
