Jake Leschyshyn

The Rangers have recalled center Jake Leschyshyn again, which seems to be an odd move since the team does appear to be healthy. Even if not fully healthy, Tyler Pitlick has been available for a few games, so the recall isn’t strictly necessary. Especially since the Rangers play twice at home before their much needed bye week.

Obviously it is not known why the recall was made or if someone will be out of the lineup. We do know Artemi Panarin‘s wife is due soon, but that’s pure speculation. Leschyshyn is not a real NHL option at this point, but it does appear he is the “first in line” for a call up right now. Really highlights the need for a 4C, doesn’t it?
