Alexis Lafreniere's emergence has been a key to the Rangers success.

The Rangers have a bit of a rough schedule upcoming with their tilt against Seattle tonight followed by an immediate travel day and a jetlag game in Vegas on Thursday to kick off a west coast trip. But before we get ahead of ourselves, there is a game against Seattle, who is red hot and 9-1-0 in their last ten games.

This isn’t a must win for the Rangers, but it is a really need to win given the jetlag game coming up. Kaapo Kakko is back, allowing Peter Laviolette more freedom to tinker with the bottom six, a known trouble area since all the injuries. Nick Bonino is finally back on the fourth line, and Jonny Brodzinski gets a shot in a more offensive role than his previous games.

More balance hopefully means a more consistent and complete showing, as the Rangers now have two bonafide top lines and a shutdown fourth line. The new Cuylle-Brodzinski-Wheeler line should be offensively inclined, but we will have to wait and see what results they have.
