Peter Laviolette will join Igor Shesterkin at the 2024 All Star Game and will coach the Metropolitan Division in Toronto. The Rangers are currently in first place in the Metro with a 27-13-2 record, but you may not know it based on the recent four game losing streak and 4-5-1 stretch in their last 10 games.
This will be Laviolette’s 4th All Star Game appearance, and naturally his first with the Rangers.
No other Rangers skaters were voted into the All Star Game, as mostly Leafs and Canucks were voted in by the fans. Artemi Panarin was the original choice, but he declined as his wife is due to give birth around the time of the All Star Game.
The 2024 NHL All Star Game will take place on February 3rd this year.
