rangers blackhawks

The Rangers are looking to rebound tonight at MSG after a pretty rough game against Carolina on Tuesday. The Canes demolished the Rangers thanks to a strong third period and a rare off night from the Rangers PK. Now the Rangers get a soft landing spot against Chicago team that clearly wants another top pick in the draft. If it weren’t for Connor Bedard, this team would be a laughing stock.

Famous last words, I know.

But Brennan Othmann will make his Rangers debut tonight, albeit on the fourth line. Peter Laviolette is easing his top prospect, who is still in his first pro season, into the NHL lineup. That’s fair. Now it’s up to Othmann to show he should play up in the lineup, possibly even on the off-wing. Assuming the Rangers take care of business, Othmann will be the story tonight.
