After a fun game but a loss, the Rangers travel a few miles north to Tampa to take on the Lightning. These are not the Lightning of old, as their depth has taken hits in the last few years. Their bottom six isn’t overly great or intimidating, and their defensive depth is sketchy at best. But they still have Andrei Vasilevskiy, who may not be who he once was, but he’s still very good.

The Rangers, to their credit, haven’t had many lineup changes since Adam Fox returned to the lineup. They’ve held steady with their current 18 skaters and haven’t juggled the lines as much. It’s refreshing, isn’t it? To know what the lineup is going to be well in advance.
