Filip Chytil injury update

We have a Filip Chytil injury update, and it’s a bad one. After about a month since Chytil attempted to return to the ice, Larry Brooks is reporting that he will return to Czechia for a “reset.” This can only be seen as bad news, especially after Vince Mercogliano reported that Chytil was seeing a concussion specialist in Michigan.

While Brooks does mention Chytil is going to continue skating with his conditioning coach from over the summer and has made progress, it’s hard to find the silver lining here. It’s safe to assume Chytil won’t be back for the regular season, which is a big blow to the Rangers. The worst case scenario is that this is a career ender, but that’s likely still premature.

This isn’t the worst Filip Chytil injury update, but it’s still pretty bad. We wish him the best in his recovery.
