Team USA crushed Switzerland 11-3 at the 2024 World Juniors, temporarily putting them in first place in Group B with a 2-0 record. The win gave the USA a big boost in goal differential at +11, which will matter when it comes to seeding in the elimination round.

Slovakia will jump back into first place later this morning with their presumed win over Norway, but Team USA has Czechia this afternoon and will likely jump in front again. Both teams meet on New Year’s Eve to determine the Group B winner.
