rangers oilers ryan lindgren

The Rangers look to make it 4 in a row after their first in-season rut with the Edmonton Oilers coming to town. Unlike last time these two teams met, it’s the Oilers who are healthy and the Rangers who are dealing with multiple injuries. Connor McDavid is back this time, and the Oilers lineup is significantly scarier with him in the lineup. Duh.

The Rangers, though, have done a good job limiting high danger chances against, something the Oilers are pretty good at. The Oilers also have a solid powerplay, which means the penalty prone Rangers need to tighten things up and avoid a track meet. Generally track meets are fine for the Rangers, but not without two skill forwards.

Jonathan Quick gets the start over Igor Shesterkin. Given their records against the Oilers, this checks out.
