Just one week after the Leafs wiped the floor with the Rangers, these two teams meet up again in Toronto. The Leafs are cruising along, but depth seems to be an issue, particularly other teams’ depth scoring against. The Rangers, following that 7-3 loss, have won two in a row, allowing just one goal in each game.

The Rangers have the far better depth, at least when fully healthy, and that does seem to be what gives the Leafs fits. Outside of their top two lines, they truly struggle. But those top two lines are lethal and they have an even more potent powerplay. Offense isn’t the issue for the Leafs.

Hopefully the Rangers play more structured this time around. Let’s see how the Blueshirts respond a week after Toronto embarrassed them.
