After a strong win against the Ducks last night, the Rangers have a travel day and a game day in one, with a showdown in Boston against the Bruins tonight. Like the Rangers, the Bruins are a bit shorthanded tonight, as Morgan Geekie is now their 1C and Kevin Shattenkirk is on their top pair. Injuries happen, and at least the Rangers have an opponent with a number of injuries as well.

As for the Blueshirts, they recalled defenseman Connor Mackey, which suggests a defenseman is at least a game time decision. K’Andre Miller is in, so perhaps it’s more than one player that is in flux?

The Rangers have essentially been treading water lately, ditto the Bruins. It’s been an odd month, hasn’t it?
