The Rangers travel to Ottawa looking to extend their winning streak to four in a row. They are also looking to settle down a bit after some questionable performances, even in the three straight wins, as they’ve been giving up a lot of chances and goals in the past few games. It’s mainly been the powerplay providing the offense as well, but perhaps that’s expected when down two forwards and without a top line that can score lately.
Ottawa is getting healthy, and were almost fully healthy tonight before Thomas Chabot was ruled out. Still, their forwards are healthy and this is a very deep and talented Senators team. They may not look good in the standings, but just 3 months ago, before the injuries, people were picking them to make the playoffs. They are a good team that can beat the Rangers if they continue to be sloppy.
