Gabriel Perreault Team USA

Gabe Perreault and Drew Fortescue have cracked the preliminary roster for Team USA at the 2024 World Juniors. Both Perreault and Fortescue were taken by the Rangers in the 2023 NHL draft in the first and third rounds, respectively.

The roster, which has 16 forwards, 10 defensemen, and 3 goalies, is expected to be trimmed over the next few weeks before the 2024 World Juniors begin. Perreault is considered a shoo-in. Fortescue will likely need to impress a few people to make the final cut.

Perreault, who for some reason fell to the Rangers at #23 at the draft, is off to a monster start at Boston College with a line of 4-19-23 in just 16 games. That’s very good for a freshman.

Fortescue, also at BC, isn’t known for his offense but does have 3 goals this season. His play has been less publicized, but strong nonetheless.
