After a strong defensive effort in Pittsburgh, the Blueshirts are on the other side of Pennsylvania to take on the Flyers in a Black Friday showdown. Believe it or not, the Flyers are pretty good. Shocker, I know. They aren’t a very deep team, but they are one of the best at 5v5, an area that the Rangers struggle, at least on offense.
The Blueshirts are still a better team, but the Flyers are one of those pesky teams that will hang around and keep things interesting. If it feels like a trap game, it’s because it is. The Flyers likely won’t be in the playoffs, but they are playing well enough to play spoiler later in the season. They will be a tough challenge of an opponent’s strength against their own weakness.
