The injury bug is apparently hitting the Hartford Wolf Pack as well. Ben Harpur is out for the season following a pectoral injury that required surgery. The injury occurred during the November 3rd game against Lehigh Valley in the second period.

Without Harpur, the Rangers depth takes a bit of a “hit,” since Harpur was technically the 8th or 9th defenseman on the roster. Zac Jones is currently in the lineup as long as Adam Fox is out, and he’s starting to show some improvement. It looks like Connor Mackey will be the next man up, should another injury require him.
The Harpur injury likely doesn’t impact the Rangers too much, aside from a potential call up, but it will impact the Wolf Pack. Expect Chris Drury to make a move for a minor league defenseman to help shore up that blue line for a Calder Cup run.
