Perhaps targeting Artemi Panain in the DFS Hockey 10/24 slate will pay dividends

DFS Hockey 10/24 is a fun slate, with all 32 teams in action. DraftKings has a weird slate set up, with 3 games on the 6pm slate and the other 13 games on the 7pm slate. I’ll be focusing the DFS Hockey 10/24 post on the 7pm slate, but I’m throwing in some bonus 6pm slate content too.

As a reminder, be sure to check out my primer on how to win big at DFS hockey. And as always, please bet and play responsibly. I won’t be putting that many words in each of these going forward, just the guys that caught my eye and why. Remember though, just because it’s called out here doesn’t mean there aren’t other options. Play who you like! This is just what I like.

*DFS Hockey content is unlocked for now. DFS and sports betting content will go behind the Patreon in November. Subscribe here! This isn’t strictly Rangers content, but it’s something I love and I am halfway decent at. If you’re already in the Discord and have a question, make sure you ask there!

Today’s Goalies

  • Ville Husso/James Reimer (Det – $8k) – Seattle is having a lot of trouble scoring this season, and whichever Detroit goalie that plays is perfectly placed to get the win. Seattle gets a decent amount of shot attempts, so he has a shot at the 35+ shot bonus too.
  • Ilya Sorokin (NYI – $7.3k) – Volume is king and with the Isles getting Colorado with a high CF/60 and a low HDCF/60, he’s primed to get the 35+ save bonus. The win isn’t likely coming though.
  • Anton Forsberg (OTT, 6pm – $7.3k): Cheap, Buffalo can’t seem to score and is on the second of a back to back. Likely the chalk.

Teams to Target/Avoid (Skaters)

Instead of picking stacks and defensemen, going with teams to target. You aren’t going to be playing fourth lines and bottom pairs. Instead we pick teams/games to target that should be boat races, and avoid teams/games that should be a slog. This will get more fine tuned as we get more data on each team’s tendencies.

As a reminder, these are just suggestions. I will likely have a few lineups tonight given the size of the slate. Some will have these teams. Some will have other teams. Some may even have players from teams I list to avoid. It really depends on the price points.

  • Target Boston – They have an easy matchup against Chicago in what should be a boat race.
  • Target Detroit – Seattle is really struggling, and Detroit has been solid to start the season.
  • Target Carolina – Volume is king, and the Canes shoot a ton. Tampa has been low key bad too.
  • Target Toronto (6pm) – Stack that big 4 and go from there.
  • Avoid Minnesota – It’s tempting to target anyone playing EDM without McDavid, but Minnesota isn’t that team.
  • Avoid LA – Arizona has been quietly solid defensively.
  • Avoid Buffalo (6pm) – Until they get going, they are a full fade for me at their price points.
