Top stories from last week:
- The Rangers had a 2-1 week with strong wins over Arizona and Seattle, sandwiching a clunker against Nashville.
- Live From The Blue Seats had some scheduling issues last week (we are all managing jobs, kids, families, etc). We will return this week.
- In this week’s Patreon post (subscribe here!), Dave talked the process and why the Rangers already look better than last year’s version.
- Rob looked at Peter Laviolette’s impact on this team thus far, and it’s all positive.
- Ryan missed a game with an injury, and it was not coincidentally the Nashville game. His injuries are starting to be a problem that the Rangers can’t respond to.
- There were some Patrick Kane rumors again, but this time they don’t pass the sniff test.
- Those that don’t want Kane have turned to Conor Garland, but that’s a solution for a problem the Rangers don’t currently have.
- Jonathan Quick turned in a solid four periods right after we questioned when his first start would be. Good timing.
- It looks like we will get a fourth line rotation for the most part, at least for now, until one of Vesey or Pitlick lock down that spot.
- On Forgotten Rangers, JL reminded us of a trio of forwards that came and went with barely an NHL game, plus Markus Naslund.
