DFS Hockey 10/18: Target Ottawa tonight.

Your DFS Hockey 10/18 slate is ugly at best, and a full avoid at worst. But someone has to win, right?

As a reminder, be sure to check out my primer on how to win big at DFS hockey. And as always, please bet and play responsibly. I won’t be putting that many words in each of these going forward, just the guys that caught my eye and why. Remember though, just because it’s called out here doesn’t mean there aren’t other options. Play who you like! This is just what I like.

Reviewing yesterday’s picks

I finished close to dead last. This happens sometimes. I go for ceiling and to win big money, so when that’s the strategy, sometimes you fall flat on your face. Onto the next.

Goalies:

    • Connor Hellebuyck ($8.1k): -0.7 points. I’m done with him.
    • Marc Andre-Fleury

Team Picks:

    • Target Buffalo/Tampa: Good process, bad result. May need to give both teams some time to get things right.
    • Avoid Arizona/Isles: Good advice.
    • Target Vancouver: How did Vancouver get shut out by Philly?
    • Target (Cash) or Avoid (GPP) Carolina: Turned out to be good advice since they were fine, but not game breaking.

Today’s Goalies

  • Anton Forsberg ($8k): Two game slate, sometimes you just go chalk.
  • GPP Pick: Ville Husso ($7.5k)

Teams to Target/Avoid

Instead of picking stacks and defensemen, going with teams to target. You aren’t going to be playing fourth lines and bottom pairs. Instead we pick teams/games to target that should be boat races, and avoid teams/games that should be a slog. This will get more fine tuned as we get more data on each team’s tendencies.

This slate is UGLY.

  • Target: Ottawa, for obvious reasons.
  • Avoid: Washington.
