It’s official. Will Cuylle has broken camp with the Rangers and will be on the opening night roster. The Rangers have waived Jonny Brodzinski, solidifying Cuylle’s spot with the Blueshirts.

Brodzinski played well in camp, and there’s a chance the Rangers lose him on waivers. That’s fine. It’s a risk. Brodzinski is 30 years old, he’s not a kid. Cuylle outplayed him, and the rest of the roster was pretty set. If he clears, Brodzinski will return to Hartford to be its captain and likely the first injury call up.
