As expected, the NY Rangers have assigned Brennan Othmann to the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL. This was the expected move by the Rangers, since it’s more important that Othmann get minutes and adjust to the next level of hockey.

Othmann was always a long shot to make the Rangers out of camp. He will get time in the AHL in all situations, and depending on his performance we could see him again real soon.
You know who wasn’t sent down? Will Cuylle.
Guessing Cuylle and Jonny Brodzinski will stay until the Rangers figure out the Filip Chytil and Tyler Pitlick injury situations.
