Artemi Panarin

The NHL Network continued its top players at each position, ranking Artemi Panarin as the #9 winger in the NHL. The list is mostly debatable after David Pastrnak (1) and Matthew Tkachuk (2), so there isn’t much stock to put into the order of the list(s). This is more an indication that despite the early playoff exit last year, the Rangers still have a highly skilled team that just needs to put it all together.

Panarin is the second Ranger to appear on these lists, with Mika Zibanejad at #12 for the top centers in the game today. It is expected that Adam Fox will be a top-three defenseman. Igor Shesterkin will be a top-five goalie.

This is a team that put up 107 points last season. They are highly skilled, and hopefully a new coach with a more structured system helps unlock more potential this season.
