Per David Pagnotta, the Rangers will play in the 2024 Stadium Series at MetLife Stadium. The Blueshirts will face the Islanders in the second of back to back games, with the Devils and Flyers getting the opener. As per usual, the Rangers will be the “away” team in such a game, as the Rangers can’t be the home team away from MSG for specific tax exemptions. As always, it’s about the money.

The Rangers are currently 4-0 in outdoor games, beating the Flyers in the 2012 Winter Classic, the Devils and the Islanders in the 2014 Stadium Series, and the Buffalo Sabres in the 2018 Winter Classic.
Assuming the 2024 Stadium Series games are accurate, we will get our first outdoor Shesterkin vs Sorokin game, a battle of two of the best goalies in the NHL.
