The NY Rangers have signed 2022 3rd round pick Bryce McConnell-Barker to a 3 year entry level contract. BMB, who will turn 19 in June, was a high ceiling pick when the Rangers made the selection in June last year. He has good offensive tools, putting up 29-45-74 in 66 games with the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL.

McConnell-Barker will return to the OHL next season as a 19 year old. He will also likely need a year in the AHL after that, so he’s at least 2-3 years away from making an impact at the NHL level. BMB helps solidify much needed center depth in the prospect system, but he tops out as a middle six forward as his ceiling.
