The Rangers beating the Canes will take near perfection

Don’t look now, but the Rangers are winners of four in a row and have won the last two games by a combined score of 13-0. They are heating up at the right time as they enter a home and home with the division leading Carolina Hurricanes. A sweep of the home and home puts them within striking distance, albeit still unlikely, of the Metro Division crown.

Ryan Lindgren returns for the Rangers tonight, giving them a full lineup for the first time since a week before the trade deadline. Tonight will be the first night we see their expected playoff roster, almost three full weeks since the trade deadline has passed. Amazing how all the bad luck hit the Rangers at once, but they weathered the storm.

Now they need to weather the Canes and send another statement to the NHL that this team is for real.
