A Ryan Lindgren return for real? Brodzinski returned to Hartford sets the stage

After yesterday’s swerve, it looks like a Ryan Lindgren return is in the cards today for the NY Rangers. Jonny Brodzinski was returned to Hartford, ending his emergency loan. This likely signals Lindgren’s return, and boy do the Rangers need it. They’ve been horrible defensively, and while one player shouldn’t have this much of an impact on the lineup, it appears Lindgren does. At least based on who replaces him in the lineup.

Update: He’s not playing, again. This is getting frustrating.

The lines are in a blender, but the defense pairs should return to normal, sending Niko Mikkola back to the third pair and Ben Harpur to the bench. Getting Lindgren back is key, but sometimes it’s also about who gets bumped down and out of the lineup.
