Per Vince Mercogliano, there is a Ryan Lindgren injury update. It’s not the best of news, but he is trending in the right direction, skating in practice, albeit in a non-contact jersey. Tyler Motte was also practicing in full, but was not with the fourth line. Motte was not in a non-contact jersey.
Tyler Motte is practicing in full today, although not skating on the fourth line currently. His status for tomorrow remains TBD. Ryan Lindgren is practicing, too, but in a non-contact jersey. #NYR

Naturally this all bodes well for the Rangers, who have struggled without Lindgren (and K’Andre Miller). Of course playing with 16 skaters for 2 weeks doesn’t help matters, but the Rangers have always looked a little lost without Lindgren, dating back to the Tom Wilson and Isles games that eventually got Jeff Gorton fired.
Getting Lindgren and Miller back will help the Rangers figure out what their best lines will be going forward, as the defense pairs feeding them the puck are of equal importance. It’s safe to assume both Lindgren and Motte will be out tomorrow. The Rangers recalled Jonny Brodzinski to fill in for Motte in the interim.
