MSG is taking a swing at the streaming market, and it appears to have completely misfired on the cost. Per Scott Soshnick, the MSG+ cost is expected to be $10 per game, $30 per month, or $310 per year.
SCOOP: MSG’s direct-to-consumer service (MSG+) will include a $9.99 per game option – a first for an RSN. $309.99/year or $29.99/month. Will launch this summer

This is wildly expensive, and only caters to those who exclusively watch the Rangers and the Knicks. For those that already have cable, this isn’t a budget option. For those who rely on streams, this is too expensive and likely to be as “reliable” as MSG GO.
If you were banking on this as your future source of Rangers hockey, then another route may be needed.
