The Tyler Motte injury may give the Rangers LTIR flexibility.

So much for Tyler Motte being too expensive for the NY Rangers. Barely an hour after the Rangers were rumored to be out on Motte due to cost, the Motte Girl Summer Part 2 has been confirmed, with the Rangers sending Julien Gauthier to Ottawa in exchange for the winger and a conditional 7th round pick (becomes a 6th round pick if the Rangers get past the first round of the playoffs).

This is Motte’s second go round with the Rangers, and hopefully his start with the Blueshirts goes better than last year’s, where he suffered a shoulder injury in his first week with the team.

Motte shores up the RW spot on the fourth line, with a center still a need.

As always, Motte Girl Summer is a tag that was created by The Broadcast Pod in Vancouver. They sell some great Motte Girl Summer merch, and all proceeds go to mental health initiatives in Vancouver and Michigan (where Motte is from). If you’re looking for a great pod and supporting a great cause, they are the women to follow. You can buy some merch here.
