Per Vince Mercogliano, Ryan Lindgren may return tomorrow against Detroit, which is certainly good news for the Rangers. They have missed him.
Spoke to Ryan Lindgren, who confirmed his injury came from the hit by David Pastrnak in last week’s game against Boston. Sounds like there’s a very good chance he plays tomorrow in Detroit. #NYR

Believe it or not, Libor Hajek was serviceable in Lindgren’s absence, and most of the issues the Rangers have faced have been with blowing leads. But Lindgren is still a better player.
It would be nice, however, to see Lindgren with Jacob Trouba, who has been struggling defensively. That might help Trouba out of his slump, as he historically plays better with a defense-first partner. Two birds, one stone.
