For those hoping Keith Kinkaid would be the backup goalie for the Rangers, that ship has sailed. It may never have even docked, quite honestly. Kinkaid will walk, per Vince Mercogliano, and Martin Jones may be a target.
Some backup goalie news to report: Multiple sources have confirmed that the #NYR are planning to let Keith Kinkaid move on and are not considering him as a backup option.
A name that's come up increasingly: Martin Jones.

Jones is very not good. But I trust Benoit Allaire. The Rangers need Jones to start 20ish games, and do it competently enough that Igor Shesterkin gets a break.
Update: Per Arthur Staple, Charlie Lindgren is more likely.
As of now, sounds like the two most established No. 2 goalies available, Martin Jones and Thomas Greiss, are not going to the #NYR. Jones likely to SEA.
Could leave someone like Charlie Lindgren on the #NYR radar. Don't think Eric Comrie is an option at this point.

Lindgren is the under the radar type the Rangers prefer. Allaire can work his wizardry and turn him into another trade chip at some point.
