Per Arthur Staple, the Rangers are out on Andrew Copp, and will look elsewhere for their 2C opening.
Sources say the #NYR are out on Andrew Copp. Sides talked over the weekend but #NYR are likely looking elsewhere for their No. 2 center spot.

Copp priced himself out of New York with his play upon arrival, which was a risk, and will follow Ryan Strome out the door. Considering Copp didn’t even play center in New York, that’s fine. Hopefully Chris Drury has something up his sleeve with the NHL ready prospect(s) that have no spot on the team.
It’s assumed the issue with Copp and Strome goes beyond the cap hit, and duration is also a concern.
