The Rangers lost Strome in Game 3 to a lower body injury. He took warmups for Game 4 but ultimately did not play. Chytil was injured in Game 4 after a hit by Victor Hedman and did not return. This is all on top of Barclay Goodrow playing on one ankle.
This leaves the Rangers with few real options at center. Goodrow and Andrew Copp can play center, but it doesn’t leave many other scoring options. The injuries may put the Rangers right back at square one with their forward depth that was addressed at the trade deadline.
