Per Anthony SanFillippo, the Rangers were one of four teams with legitimate offers for Flyers center Claude Giroux. However, Giroux rejected the trade to the Rangers. He does have a no-move clause.
The Flyers were considering offers from four teams – Florida, Colorado, Boston and the New York Rangers.
It is believed that Giroux nixed offers to New York and Boston.

Can’t blame him, as he’s spent his entire career being a rival of the Rangers.
Giroux would have been a great add for the Rangers, who need balanced scoring up and down the lineup. The addition of Frank Vatrano is good, but they need something that moves the needle more. And no, Alex Radulov isn’t that needle mover.
This will likely go down to the wire on Monday.
