Per Vince Mercogliano, Patrik Nemeth will miss the road trip to Columbus for personal reasons.
Gallant said Nemeth won’t be coming for the trip to Columbus for personal reasons. He didn’t rule out Chytil, but again, he didn’t practice today. #NYR

This is the second time Nemeth has missed time for personal reasons, and we hope everything is ok. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the game, we forget the players are people too. Truly hope everything works out for him.
The Rangers also shook up the lines a bit, given both Kaapo Kakko and Filip Chytil appear unlikely to play on Thursday.
Based on jersey colors, looks like #NYR practice lines are:
Kreider – Zib – Gauthier
Panarin – Strome – Goodrow
Laf – Barron – Hunt
McKegg – Rooney – Reaves— Vince Z. Mercogliano (@vzmercogliano) January 26, 2022
This is the best case scenario given the roster at the moment. I am excited to see what Julien Gauthier can do with Kreider and Zibanejad. I’m also really looking forward to seeing Morgan Barron with Alexis Lafreniere. If Chytil plays, my guess is Barron is the scratch, since that’s the easier move to make for Gallant.
