The 2022 World Juniors will be cancelled. This comes after a number of games yesterday and today were forfeited.

The IIHF is currently the butt of every joke right now, and they should be. This tournament should have either been postponed or in a complete bubble, given the current state of COVID. The IIHF outright cancelled or postponed a bunch of other tournaments, drawing the ire of many by cancelling the U18 Women’s Tournament for a second year in a row.
It doesn’t sound like there are plans for a re-do. This stinks for the players, but is necessary given the current state of things.
