In case you missed it, a fun conspiracy theory that there is a Rangers jersey buried under UBS Arena made waves this week on social media. The rumor sparked from a long dormant image of two “anonymous” construction workers posting on Instagram a little under a year ago.
The post got some traction on Reddit, but that was it for a little while. Then the Islanders went on their rather epic losing streak to start their stint in the new building, and this came back to life in a magnificent way. The Isles are 0-5-2 at UBS Arena, and naturally Isles fans are losing their minds.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun at their expense, as it’s clear it was Henrik Lundqvist and Steve Valiquette that planted the jersey. We knew they would find a way to help the Rangers out, so we are glad they followed through.
Did a Rangers jersey get buried under UBS Arena? Possibly. We may never know, unless of course Hank and Vally come clean. But will they?
