Rangers make third round of cuts, assign three to Hartford

Per Molliee Walker, the Rangers have made their third round of cuts, assigning Tanner Fritz, Tarmo Reunanen, and Austin Rueschhoff to the Hartford Wolf Pack.

None of this trio were truly in the running for a roster spot this year, and it’s safe to assume they won’t be going forward. Reunanen had his shot last year, albeit briefly. Nils Lundkvist and Braden Schneider were always going to pass him on the depth charts though. Fritz and Rueschhoff are AHL players at this point in their careers.

So far, no surprises in cuts. Maybe a surprise or two in the timing of cuts though.
