Around the Farm: Morgan Barron with goal, assist in Hartford win

Morgan Barron continued his dominance of the AHL yesterday, getting a goal and an assist in Hartford’s 5-2 win. The two point night gives Barron a line of 8-4-12 in 13 games, and he is truly making his case for a call up. Tarmo Reunanen and Hunter Skinner (in his AHL debut) grabbed assists as well.

In the WHL, Matthew Robertson had a big game, with a goal and three assists in a 9-2 win.

  • This may be pushing it, but I could see Lundkvist and Robertson patrolling the blueline as a 3rd pairing next year, displacing Smith (Bitetto becomes the 4RD) and Hajek.

    • I have not see much of Robertson but Lundquist looks very good. Zac Jones should also be in the conversation but perhaps he is waiting for Schneider. Hope they could have had some centers in their system

  • Krav in for DG. Answer to a common post game question tonight: “But I wanted to ease him in.”

So if Krav plays less than 10 minutes then I’m right. If he plays more than 10 minutes then it’s good for the team.

    I can’t lose.

    • Ha … I lost him on the bench.

I want to see him on the 2nd PP unit — and I want to see the 2nd unit actually get out on the ice for more than 20-25 seconds per PP.
