Is there a Rangers prospect development problem?

Just days after Traktor were eliminated from the KHL playoffs, top NY Rangers prospect Vitali Kravtsov has arrived in New York. Kravtsov will begin his quarantine period now.

Kravtsov’s quarantine period likely lasts 10 days. That puts him on track to practice with the Rangers somewhere around March 23rd. That luckily coincides with a pair of off days in a row for the Rangers. The first game after Kravtsov could theoretically be at practice is the 25th at the Flyers.

Would David Quinn play Kravtsov with just a pair of practices under his belt? Possible, since Kravtsov is in game shape after all. The practices would be to get his feet back under him and adjust to the system. The Rangers play in Philly on the 25th and 27th, before getting the Caps on the 28th in Washington and returning home for the Caps on the 30th.

Kravtsov will likely first join the Rangers for one of those games. Knowing my luck, it’ll be the 28th when I can’t watch. Until then, Kravtsov is in quarantine until then. His first full day at practice will give us some insight into when his first game will be.
