In a sharp turn from prior restrictions, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today that New York State will allow arenas to have 10% capacity. This includes indoor arenas.

While no official announcement has been made by the Rangers, it’s safe to assume they will abide by these guidelines and open MSG doors to fans. Fans will be required to present a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to any game.
This does open a lot of questions:
- What if you’re vaccinated? Do you need a PCR test?
- How do you enforce social distancing in restrooms and in line at concession stands?
- How will games be refunded if/when games are postponed?
- How do you enforce people going to games as a group, but don’t live in the same household?
Naturally we will see the kinks worked out. Personally, I don’t feel like spending $250 to go to a game until this stuff is ironed out.
