rangers vegas golden knights tony deangelo

Last night on Hockey Night in Canada, Brian Burke gave a two minute segment on the Tony DeAngelo trade situation with the Rangers. Long and short of it, he said that pro sports is where you almost always get a second chance. However for DeAngelo, the Rangers were already his third team.

Burke says that the risk is relatively low with DeAngelo, because the buyout cost is so low. He said that due diligence is important as well. Brian Burke concluded that if it were up to him, he would not trade for Tony DeAngelo.

This situation might drag on for a while. I know Pat Brisson, DeAngelo’s agent, said a trade would be imminent. But apparently that is not the case.
