Rangers assign Jonny Brodzinski to AHL

After one game, the Rangers have assigned Jonny Brodzinski back to the AHL. Brodzinski was an emergency call up the other day, with Kaapo Kakko being placed on the COVID list. This maneuver could just be for the cap to save as many dollars as possible.

This could also signal Kakko is ready to return from the COVID list. Remember, that list doesn’t mean you have COVID, just that you might have been exposed. It could also mean a trade for a forward is incoming. Given the Tony DeAngelo situation, it quite honestly is a coin flip.

Could also mean Colin Blackwell is good to go, but he was out 7-10 days from the first report.
