  • Everyone harping on JJ, and he deserves it. But JJ is kind of hiding the disastrous start of the season we’re seeing from Strome.

Chytil is playing well. If not now, then it’s really soon thay I’d like to see him with Panarin (and keep Kakko on his wing). At most, I’d give Strome 1-2 more games to breakout of his slump before moving Chytil to the 2C.

Quinn had no issues bumping Henrik off this roster. He should not have issues with doing these kinds of things with Strome or JJ, or anyone really…

    • Strome is not hiding from me. I’ve said that he is offering nothing to the team. He’s not even giving an indication that he belongs on the 2nd line.

The Rangers lost on Friday because of the top 6. End of story.

    • Clearly there are better options than JJ, so of course he’s target #1.

Strome is on pretty much everybody’s radar, but we know what he’s capable of playing with Panarin. The biggest question mark with putting Chytil together with Panarin and Kakko is who will do the dirty work on that line, PDG has proven himself to be a good compliment to Chytil and Kakko, perhaps it’s best to work around that for the time being.

  • Dave – saw your comments about Eichel and the cost to acquire would start with KK. Any thoughts on Kratsov filling that void..both have size both are RW both play almost the same game. I’m guess if Kratsov comes over at end of his KHL season and does well than that really makes someone expendable. Also I’m thinking Eichel not a reality ( dollars cost & prospect cost) and Rangers have eyes already on another young center not yet fully developed. Like a Z scenario… Anyway I enjoy reading your thoughts keep em coming.

    • Those who I’ve spoken to have said Kakko.

Worth noting that to acquire Eichel, it will need to be Kakko, DeAngelo (salary, there’s no inherent value for Buffalo there), Georgiev, and several top prospects/1st round picks.

      He is very cost prohibitive.

  • Lindbom got his 2nd start in a row on Sunday, giving up 2 in a 4-1 loss. Sv% was like .926, but the shots he saw in the 3rd were not quality.

HockeyTV picking up the Allsvenskan is such a blessing, you really get to see the quality(or lack thereof.)
