Hunter Skinner is a late add to Team USA for the 2021 World Juniors. Skinner was added late last night as multiple players on Team USA tested positive for COVID-19 (assumed).
Skinner was a questioned pick at the draft, but has really come on of late. The defenseman put up 2-26-32 in the OHL last year, and has quickly moved from afterthought in a strong draft to a solid prospect. This is why Hunter Skinner was added to the 2021 World Juniors by Team USA.
A fourth rounder last year, Skinner is moving up the depth charts and is certainly someone to keep an eye on. He may have been a question mark at the draft, but he’s becoming a kid that should be in prospect conversations going forward.
