The NY Rangers and Brendan Lemieux aren’t that far off on their arbitration numbers. The two-year arbitration ask is for $1.0125 million average from the Rangers, while Lemieux is countering with $2 million per season.

The difference here is a shade less than $1 million a season. So if you’re doing the math, the middle ground is a two year deal around $1.5 million per season. That’s what we had Lemieux pegged for.
It’s expected that the Rangers and Lemieux come to an agreement in advance of his arbitration hearing this week.
