The NY Rangers traded up to pick #127 in the 5th round, and used it to select center Evan Vierling. The Rangers sent a pair of 7th rounders this year to move up.
The Rangers have acquired the 127th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for the 196th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and the 206th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. #NYR

Vierling, a lefty, had a decent year in the OHL. With Barrie, he put up 12-22-34 in 28 games. We are in the true dart throw territory of the draft now.
Vierling is a high ceiling skilled center. He’s a great skater, strong on the puck, and an excellent two-way player. He’s a pass first guy, which can make him predictable. Overall, a good pick at this position. The Rangers are betting on ceiling with Evan Vierling.
