It’s NCAA free agent season, and the New York Rangers are making the first splash. The Hartford Wolf Pack will be signing Zach Giuttari to an AHL deal, which may be a precursor to an ELC from the big club.

Giuttari finished up his senior year with a line of 4-11-15 in 31 games. The 6’2″, 190 lb 23-year-old actually led the team in scoring, which goes to show you how bad Brown was. They were the lowest scoring team in the ECAC, relying on defense and goaltending en route to a 8-12-2 record.
Brown joins an already crowded blue line in Hartford, although it is uncertain if he gets an NHL deal or not.
