Announced just now on an impromptu press conference that lasted 3 minutes with John Davidson – both Igor Shesterkin and Pavel Buchnevich were injured in a car accident last night.
Buchnevich is shaken up and is day to day. Shesterkin has a broken rib and will be re-evaluated in a few weeks. There is speculation that this may end Shesterkin’s season.
Thankfully the injuries were not serious. Both players were wearing seat belts and the air bags deployed.
