Game 68: Remember when Devils/Rangers meant something?

The Rangers are back home for a hot second to host the Devils tonight in a game that is essentially meaningless, outside of draft positioning. Both teams are downright awful, although the Devils can probably blame some of that on injuries. However most of it can be blamed on something we should be worried about as Rangers fans in a rebuild, and that is falsely identifying that one randomly good team signals the end of a rebuild.

Back to those Devils and their injuries, look at these lines they are rolling with tonight. They are just awful. There’s about three NHLers dressing at forward. Of course that means this is a trap game for the Rangers, which might bode well because this is a big tank game for draft position. That said, this game seems ripe for the Rangers to win their first since the trade deadline.

Not that Boo has been bad but I like to see Brickley get a shot playing with Howden and Chytil. I think they could create some needed offense.

Was Kreider hurt the other night or dogging it? Should have 2 pain free games coming up,manbun will like that but its only 5 days after major surgery ;-),got some good swelling going on today! So I can sit back and watch. Did we really need to play Hank?

Glad to hear you are healing up Sieve. I had hip resurfacing surgery so I can relate. Kreider hasn’t been his angry self lately not sure what’s up with that.

Lets see what he does tonight. Thing with him is you can’t teach the speed he has. Did you see Dr Su? Not many Docs doing resurfacings.

My doc is out west, I was his first resurfacing patient and he did a great job. I still hike and cycle but had to hang up the blades. Krieder would be a good leader of this Ranger club going forward. I hope he resigns in the summer.

I like to hear stories on people who had it done. Just one side ? Why did you hang the blades up ? ( that’s the least of my troubles i’m thinking about is getting back on the ice) . I’d be happy with just going about normal day activities, riding my bike , doing some running All pain free would be nice.
Need Kreider to be more consistent in his play, pulls to many no shows.

Just the left hip was done. The titanium femur head cap with matching pelvic socket cup makes the hip more vulnerable to breaking with hard impact. Like getting crunch into the boards or a hard fall on the ice. I am liking this Hajek kid, he is looking like the real deal.

The femoral neck is the weak spot . Doc assures me after 6 months we should be good. He uses Bio-Met device with a few revisions over the years. Non-cemented on either side.
Why Lindgren isn’t playing is beyond me. The kids should be dressed!

Glad you’re healing up Sieve and that the boys finally gave us a win. Not a Monet but I’ll take it…

Thanks Sittoo … couple more days then off the pain meds and then just a waiting game after that and lots of patience ? . Knew it was a matter of time seeing NJ played last night and it would start changing direction. They have a nice compete level and that’s the coach. Hopefully the kid is ok !

Devils struggled to defend us last game, I think Kreids bounces back tonight.

We’re picking 10th again . On a positive I’m liking Stromes game . One of Gortons best moves this season. Glad he responded.

My metric is 1m per 10 points. He’s almost there.

We were never gonna be bad enough to pick top 5. It is what it is but they need to make a big swing on a guy like kaliyev. got enough jam guys.
